Laura Epstein-Norris is an acclaimed photographer based in the Bay Area. She has a Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University. Laura has exhibited her work nationally and her work can be found in private collections across the country. Laura is a documentary and portrait photographer. Her work reflects empathy and intimacy with her subjects, as she captures the small, essential moments in life. Laura teaches photography and has taught at the graduate, college and high school levels. Currently, Laura is working on several books. "Forever Family" is a photo essay about adoptive families. Laura is also collaborating on a book about the yoga of parenting. Laura's work "Summertime" was selected as a finalist for Photolucida's Critical Mass. Laura also created 4 foot murals of children for the Kiddo 25th Anniversary Gala in Mill Valley, California. Laura's murals were at the Throckmorton Theater this May. Laura's work was included in a show at the Houston Center for Photography. and was shown at The Center for Fine Art Photography.
