Review of Beekeeping in the City, June 02, 2008
first off, i commend jessica (founder and main teacher of freeschool) for her energy and enthusiasm around community based education. i love the idea of learning from my neighbor : )
the talk itself on bees, was a good way to get an overhead view of the long list of things i have yet to learn about bees and the equipment, tools and materials i'll need to get started.
she provided us with references for websites, books and beekeeping societies. she also gave us plenty of hands on time with the equipment and allowed us to ask questions.
i left really excited and interested in learning more about bees and beekeeping! yum honey!!

Review of Baker Learning Center, May 09, 2008
i've been looking for the right place to offer some after school study and tutoring help with my daughter. i found my dream come true with baker language and learning.
the owner, amy, who is also my daughter's math tutor is wonderful. she has inspired my kid through positive re-inforcement and praise. my daughter's esteem has risen as a result, and her interest in math with it.
in addition, amy is teaching her organization and study skills. AND she has opened her doors for after-school study hall for a low fee.
its amazing to me that with a little positive attention and focused feedback, my kid is now doing really well in math!
i recommend amy and her center with the highest regard.

Review of Introduction to Blacksmithing, April 21, 2008
so this class rocks! in a short 6 weeks, i was able to create steel sculptures for my garden. i never realized how easy it could be to heat, cut and mold metal to my liking. suddenly metal flowers, trees and ornaments were hanging all over my garden.. night stand? no problem..arch for my garden walk..even easier.
the facilities are excellent with all the equipment and material you'd need to get started.

Review of Introduction to Glassblowing, April 21, 2008
no really. its been awhile since i took this class, but i fell in love with hot glass.
my instructor, jeanne ferraro while strict was very good at her work and very good at teaching us basics, safety and moving on to more advanced works.
i left the class with my share of coffee cups and vases : )
their facilities are excellent! i highly recommend this class and pratt!
