Leaps and Hounds Dog Training

Leaps & Hounds offers in-home, or on-the-go, private instruction for the whole family. We work on everything from basic manners and obedience to behavior issues. Our training methods are gentle and humane.

Aryn began training dogs at age 14, as a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Since then, she has worked with service dogs, trained dogs with serious behavior problems as well as pet dogs of all ages and breeds. Aryn began Leaps & Hounds Dog Training in 2001 and currently works with an average of 30 happy dogs per week.

Aryn is certified as a Trainer and Behavior Counselor through the Dog Training Academy at the San Francisco SPCA, also known as the "Harvard of dog training schools," where she graduated with Honors. She is also a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), where she is also a member.

Aryn lives with two herding dogs who actively train and compete in a variety of dog sports including flyball, agility, obedience & tracking.
