"Practical information in a fun, hands-on format"

Review of Len Cook, October 23, 2009
The first two classes were chocked full of details about the parts of the camera and how it translates from the film cameras to digital ones. Don't worry, it comes in very useful later - as Len showed how to find and use the camera settings, work with lighting, take portrait shots, and even fashion some home-made photography equipment. Len was amusing and funny, and articulate as he taught. If I can fit it in my schedule, I will take another class with Len.
- Pros:
- Helpful, Engaging, Funny
- Cons:
- Not what I expected
- How was this location?:
- Awesome
- How was the price?:

Review of Len Cook, October 22, 2009
Len's class is great! I was skeptical at first because I've taken other classes with other instructors that were a true disappointment in which I barely got the information I was looking for. Len's class on the other hand gives all the information you need and more! His teaching style is one in which he simplifies confusing concepts. I remember after the first class, the lightbulb finally lit up! I finally understood shutter speed! Best instructor around! I'd highly recommend Len's classes!
- Pros:
- Helpful, Engaging, Encouraging, Smart, Patient, Funny, Fun, Good communicator

Len has a lot of energy and he is passionate about photography. In the classes, besides sharing a wealth of information on the core content, he takes the time to explain and highlight pointers on overall photography, easy to use recommendations, and sharing ways to use inexpensive homebuilt gadgets that do not need to break the bank. We also had a good mix of on-hands experience to practice what was taught. I would definitely highly recommend Len and this class.

Review of Len Cook, October 14, 2009
I came into the class expecting similar-aged peers, because the Fremont Catalog had listed it as "!4 and Over" right under the younger children's class.
although my peers ended up being much older, it was still a good learning experience, and we were all helpful in teaching each other.
The first class was very much of a review, as all of us, Len included, were caught a little off guard because we found we were all expecting different things from the class. But the second class was great, and the hands-on experience was really neat--Len was generous in letting me use his equipment, and we as a class took some fantastic photography. I learned a lot about handling lighting and flash, portrait photography, correct aperture and shutter speeds, and much about DSLRs in general.
I'm sorry it ended so soon! :)- Pros:
