We are 25 miles SE of Portland in Eagle Creek.
I am a professional artist with 32 years experience designing and building high end custom projects for my clientele. More than 3000 students have been taught in my studio. Many now have become successful glass artists themselves.
I teach a method that is easier than most teach. Over the years I've adapted other teachers methods and I've added employee and students ideas together to come up with small but effective differences in my method that give the students an edge over the competition.
I start with a basic how to cut glass class and then my students build a small window with about 50 curved pieces as their first project. The second project is in lead came.
The idea is to work with them on a project that is not too large but has enough pieces to give the student enough repetition to be able to carry on on their own once they finish the class.
If they want to continue to work in a class setting I can take them into more complex projects such as 3 dimensional projects, overlays, and Tiffany style lamps. Other subjects I could work with my students in would be Sandcarving, Mosaics, and Fusing. On my own work I also include airbrushing and even Beveling.
