Marc Viola is a New York based guitarist, songwriter, performer, and educator. He currently teaches private guitar lessons in the Nassau/Sufffolk area, and for over ten years he has taught hundreds of guitar students of all ages and abilities.

In addition to teaching, Marc is the lead guitarist and songwriter for the original roots rock band “Ready In 10”. Their first album, “Face The World”, was released on August 5, 2006, and was chosen as one of the ten best albums of the year by Inside Connection magazine. The group has played with such acts as Fall Out Boy, Incubus, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Rusted Root, among others. They are currently in the studio recording a new CD, as well as gigging throughout the United States.

For the past three years Marc was the lead guitarist for Peat Moss and the Fertilizers, Long Island’s number one cover band. As a Fertilizer, he played over a thousand shows in styles ranging from Metal to Jazz to Doo-Wop! He recently left the band to focus more on his teaching and original music. His song, “One More Chance”, recently won a top prize at the International Acoustic Music Awards. The International Acoustic Music Awards (IAMA's) are given every year to songwriters across the globe in several different categories. Judging is based on excellence in music performance, songwriting/composition/song choice, music production and originality/artistry.
