I am a musician that has been performing and teaching for over thirteen years. My style as a drummer is centered around all Rock, Folk, and Blues styles, though I am experienced in many other genres. I am in love with the history of drumming and music, and have a wide understanding of rhythm from classical as well as African perspectives.
My attitude as a teacher has always been focused around sharing my love for music with my students. I always work to bring out the love of the artform in how I teach. Whether it is the joy of performing, playing in the pocket, or having a deeper understanding of the self through the discipline of being a musician, I always focus on being passionate about what you do, with those I teach.
I currently perform and tour with two bands, and work with a handful of other musicians. I am active in the business roles of my bands, and work at understanding the changing landscape of the music industry. Combined with my students, I am very blessed to live a life full of music.
