I am a native of Mililani, HI, currently living in Petersburg, VA. Polynesian dancing is a family affair for me. My father, a native of Apia, Samoa, is a former fire knife dancer and Polynesian Cultural Center entertainer. My sister, brother and I began Polynesian dance with Iwalani Tseu in Wahiawa, HI. Our group performed all over the islands with names such as Eddie Kamae, Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu and Tiare Clifford. We performed in Waikiki, aboard a cruise ship, for the Hula Bowl banquet and half-time show and I even appeared in two television commercials. Later, while attending Punahou School, I was appointed one of the student directors/choreographers of the annual May Day/Holoku Pageants. Although I now live on the mainland, I continue to dance for parties and special occasions, and have taught hula as an after school enrichment class at Rohoic/Sutherland Elementary, where I work full-time. I am also the mother of four beautiful children, and proud wife of my husband of 17 years. I had not been able to find Polynesian dance groups in this area, so I decided to start my own! I am excited to share my beautiful and unique culture and am hoping to, along the way, meet fellow Pacific Islanders in the area!
