Philosophy
Music permeated the environment I grew up in, and it has been a recurrent treasure in my life. While we must learn all the factual aspects of music-making, I believe the treasures can be found exploring both the vast variety of human emotions which arise in piano playing, and the possibility of an easeful navigation through them.
I work with both children and adults, and the goal of relaxed, joyous music-making remains constant for all. For adults I seek to reawaken or sustain a fresh and open energy and for children nurture their curiosity in order to build a musical foundation that can extend into their adult lives.
