MARK WAHL is owner and director of Mark Wahl Learning Services in Washington State near Seattle. He has been a mathematics learning specialist since the 70's and often takes on the cases of children who are pronounced "math-challenged," having "math learning disabilities," or those who require more acceleration and challenge in math than their teachers know how to provide. He is a teacher, author, teacher trainer, and consultant very experienced with:
creative mathematics instruction methods, multiple intelligence approaches, books for classroom use, parent support and home- schooling,test preparation that includes SAT and GRE, math anxiety - how to alleviate it, techniques for math mentoring with students that is proactive and therapeutic. His books "Math for Humans: Teaching Math Through 8 Intelligences" and "A Mathematical Mystery Tour" are used widely by teachers in the US and abroad.
