    I found this session with Marlo to be very helpful. She took the time to listen to my thoughts and to answer my questions. She also gave me really honest feedback on my work. It was hard hearing so much constructive criticism but I can tell it will all be very useful advice as I continue to grow my business.

    Review of Small Object Digital Photography for Etsy Sellers*, June 23, 2011

    I signed up for this class on a recommendation from someone else. Upon realizing it was a class for jewlers more so (as I am not a jeweler or an Etsy seller), I asked to withdraw. Marlo was extremely sweet and kind and had excellent communication with me. She offered to refund me and by the next day had already applied it. I believe she would be a great teacher for those interested in small object photography/jewelry.

    Thanks for the review. I just wanted to make it clear to prospective students that my photography classes cover many facets of product photography including basic photography principles, composition, lighting as well as technical skills to help both "point and shoot" and DSLR camera owners take better photos of their products. My specialty is shooting the "small object" (items smaller than 12" x 12") which includes a wide range of items.     Review of Small Object Digital Photography for Etsy Sellers*, November 08, 2010

    Marlo is so aware of the different ways people learn. She had her session well organized, able to discuss in detail the steps needed to produce better photos and a number of visuals to illustrate it even more. Her presentation style is relaxed and approachable - never dull. I honestly value all that I learned and can say that it is helping me take better photos!!!

    Review of Small Object Digital Photography for Etsy Sellers*, September 10, 2009

    After I took this class with Marlo, the photos of my jewelry were instantly better. For anyone that is not happy with their photos, Marlo can definitely help out. The class sizes are very small which is excellent for one on one time. Marlo also helped out with a few tips for the etsy site which was a plus. Thank you for the great class!

    Review of Marlo M, April 10, 2009

    I took Marlo's photography workshop recently and really enjoyed it. Marlo began by explaining a little of the technical stuff of photography -- just enough to give us a better understanding of what certain camera settings are actually doing. She then photographed several pieces of jewelry, showing us some of her own techniques using various set-ups, lighting, etc. The rest of the time was spent in a hands-on experience, as we used our own cameras to photograph our own jewelry in the various locations around her studio. Marlo worked with each of us to help us get our shots just right.

    The workshop was limited to four people, which offered greater individual attention than you would get in a larger class. Marlo is easy going and encouraging and eager to share her knowledge with others. Her prices are also very reasonable.

    Thanks, Marlo! I loved it and learned a lot!
