Why be normal and not extraordinary?
I named my business Beyond Fitness because I go Beyond the use of traditional methods to attain optimal Fitness. I am dedicated to studying, researching, learning, and teaching innovations in functional strength training.
I also employ old school methods using ancient techniques that have stood the test of time. These methods were used by men who were truly strong and impressive physical specimens before performance-enhancing drugs existed. There are a lot of huge guys with artificially bloated muscles out there nowadays, but no one comes nearly as close to Eugene Sandow, the father of bodybuilding. He had amazing muscle density, symmetry and insane super strength. I have not yet seen anyone perform one finger pull ups like he did. Therefore, no fancy equipment, drugs and gadgets are necessary to attain an elite level of physical fitness.
That said, incorporating kettlebells into my teaching and training, has been one of the best decisions in my career as a strength coach and personal trainer. I am a real-life athlete, a physical culturist, a passionate iron head, and a experienced trainer.
I am a RKC ( Russian Kettlebell Certified Instructor ), and a certified fitness Instructor by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Whether you are a novice, an athlete, someone in between, or someone who has simply let go for whatever reason, my training methods may be for you. If you are serious about re-claiming your health and vitality, this is what I stand for and what I can provide.
Because no simple approach contains all the answers, I integrate multicultural styles and art forms of training applying the modality that is appropriate for a given goal and situation. I educate clients about quality calories. I cut through the hype of supplements and provide in-depth information about what really works in the field of nutrition and the fat-loss industry.
Among so many strength coaches and fitness gurus out there, I am truly grateful for having the opportunity to learn from a few of the top ones.
Even though I am certified by a reputable organization, I must say that besides learning from these top coaches, I've also learned from empirical self trials rather than from controlled science.
After all, I am my best client and my own guinea pig.

What is RKC?
RKC stands for Russian Kettlebell Challenge or Russian Kettlebell Certified Instructor.
The RKC system is a challenge to the current exercise model. A shift from isolate, low intensity, cosmetic training to total body, high intensity, functional movement. This training style was designed as a strength and conditioning system for combative applications.
The RKC kettlebell style chooses power over efficiency. In other words, it chooses ‘power production over power conservation’ using appropriate techniques and maximum power in the shortest time possible. RKC practitioners get their share of conditioning but strength always remains a priority. Therefore, the RKC is a school of strength.
We approach our training as a "practice", not a work out". The RKC enphasizes technical performance over routines, exercises, and workouts. "They are marginal until the technique is perfect."
We employ maximal acceleration in quick lifts and maximal tension in slow lifts with techniques that have proof to be the most effective in all-out efforts.
The' hard style' RKC develops a blend of strength and endurance for applications that demand great power and thus employs power breathing techniques such as anatomical and biomechanical breathing to increase strength and to reduce the load on the spine. We view strength as a skill with incidental flexibility taking the brakes off your strength and making the joints strong yet pliable with greater safety and simplicity.
