Miss Melanie, founder, began her teaching career over 25 years ago as a teenager. She earned recognition in talent competitions as well as college and local theatre. Being a performer herself, she knew what it took, and decided to teach others how to make it happen.
In 1989, she decided that a ‘face lift’ was needed in the world of studio dance, that it should be a place where self-esteem and contribution are evaluated above ‘perfect bodies’ or a ‘diva mentality.’ While teaching proper technique and classical skills, Miss Melanie has cultivated a core group of excellent, well-trained instructors who share her philosophy.
