Michelle is a wonderful instructor; I had the goal of passing a certain level of the Oral Proficiency Interview and from the minute I told her that's what I wanted to do, she was researching the exam and helping me tailor my lessons in order to achieve my goal (which I just did this past Monday!). She's incredibly patient with questions, very good at explaining the "quirks" of the language and she is also a whole lot of fun, which always makes learning easier and better for me. And, she was very understanding and flexible with my schedule, which was also important as it shifts around quite a lot!

I am privileged to write this recommendation letter of my dear teacher Michelle Thorson. I was Michelle’s student in the Master in English of Media and Arts, at the EF International Languages Schools in Redondo Beach, California, and I had the pleasure to meet her in September 2006. She guided me through nine of the most joyful months of my life as a student and has accompanied me as a dear friend from then through the present day.
Michelle is an excellent teacher and professional; her method of teaching is very dynamic and motivating. Her classes were very special, thanks to her unique manner of easily capturing the attention of all participants, integrating them and continuingly encouraging us to participate and make efforts to achieve the goals desired.
As for my personal experience, Michelle was a wonderful guide for me, the interest paid to each of us, her students, her warmth, charm and personality, makes my experience fantastic. She also created a friendly environment that easily propitiated the foundations of companionship between the students and herself, which still endures over time.
For these and many more reasons I couldn’t be happier to recommend Michelle as a teacher, for her unconditional dedication to me as her English student.

Michelle Thorson has been my english teacher for three months.
I arrived as a beginner, barely able to introduce myself, and left much more confident. She helped me improve my pronunciation, my grammar, my conversation skills...
Well she gave me all the keys to become a better communicator, and all that having so much fun that I sometimes forgot she was my teacher.Today, three years later, I still have good memories of Michelle, her courses, and thank her for learning me all I know in english.

I'm a professional in business who speaks English as the second language. I don't have a problem for communicating at work but I wanted to take my English to the next level, such as accent reduction and speech training. Since I started taking her lesson, I can see my improvement right away. Also, she offers more than just teaching a language, but give me a lot of intelligent insight and observation of culture and society beyond the language. She has a great understanding of many other subjects, which I really enjoy spending time with her. And she is really funny as you can see her profile picture!!

If there is anyone looking for a instructor I would highly recommend Michelle. I was blown away at how I sound. Michelle has brought out my inner voice. My pronounciation of certain words has greatly improved and I am so satisfied with the choice I made. Michelle shows great patience (and with me she needs it), after we finish one lesson I am looking forward to the next. Now thats how it should be............
