Min Kong has spent her entire adult life as a music educator. She was born in China, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in music education and taught piano at Yiyang City University. In 2000, she immigrated to the United States and continued working on Beale Air Force Base, California as a music instructor and church pianist. She believes that teaching music is not only about passing on music skills, but also involves developing students' intelligence, logical thinking, imagination, and deep appreciation of fine arts. Her personal, caring, and encouraging teaching style and professionalism won all of her students’ love and adoration. She is a member of the National Music Teacher Association and Oregon Music Teacher Association. Besides teaching and performing, Min extended her music study with Dr. Robert Mathews and Dr. Allen Miller. Min is currently the pianist for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and director at Oregon Hope Chinese School. She is looking forward to enriching your child's education, drawing from her 13 years of teaching experience and her love of children.
