Mirabai Dance

My passion for dance kicked in at the age of four when I began producing daily recitals for family and friends! Who knows what the music was, but my costuming was either a pink tutu or cowgirl boots and a skirt!

Needless to say, my training began shortly after that in ballet, tap, and jazz. At the age of 16, inspired by my mother’s love of Middle Eastern Dance, my focus shifted to belly dance.

Since then, I have been able to study under many nationally and internationally acclaimed dancers. I have studied with whomever I can wherever my life path has taken me, thus enabling me to draw on a breadth of knowledge in my own instruction and performance. I encourage my students to follow in my footsteps as well, seeking instruction from many different sources.

I love to share and connect with people via belly dance! I enjoy the friendships that sprout out of each class. I love the interaction between performer and audience in every show. And, of course, I enjoy the simple joy that it brings me just to be dancing. This is what I hope to pass on to my students!
