Musically Minded

Musically Minded Academy has many instructors and offers lessons in most styles of music including classical, jazz, rock, blues, and folk on most instruments. We are a non-profit with a triple purpose. We are Music Academy, a community center, and a performance venue.

Our instructional staff have degrees from some of the top music universities in the country including the University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of California at Berkeley, Oberlin, Julliard and have taught at the Berklee College of Music, The Berkeley Jazz School and at Stanford University.

Our core mission is to provide high quality music education, to host concerts and other arts-related education programs, and to act as a haven for musicians and music lovers in the greater East Bay Area.

We at Musically Minded have captured the joy of music education and are devoted to imparting it to our students.

Music changes people’s lives. For some it is an expressive outlet. For others it is a way to stay focused on the everyday. It develops the brain and complements other pursuits. It creates a way for community to gather and share at concerts and shows, family events, and community gatherings.

Musically Minded teachers share this very personal love with their pupils, old and young.
