Nancy Troske is a jewelry artist, trained in classical jewelry making techniques, such as granulation, chain making, metalsmithing, and enameling. Her work takes cloisonne enameling in a contemporary direction.
Nancy received her BFA in 1973 and continued her jewelry education at the “Jewellery Workshop & Gallery” in NYC under the instruction of Fredricka Kulicke and Joseph English. She taught jewelry making at her home studio until moving to San Francisco in 1979.
Nancy continued her education at the California College of Arts and Crafts and at the Revere Academy of Goldsmithing (now the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts.) At the same time she was head bench jeweler in the repair and custom design department for a well known retail jewelry store in the San Francisco Bay Area. (At that time she was working under the name Nancy Hannigan). She also taught jewelry making at a local crafts center.
Nancy now lives and works in Princeton, NJ. She teaches jewelry making at the Arts Council of Princeton, at the West Windsor Arts Council, the Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network Gallery and in March 2011 at the Kulicke Jewelry School in Parsipanny, NJ.
