I work in product management at TeachStreet and often spend my time presenting the team with PowerPoint slide decks and my infamous tubes (visio time lines).
I am currently teaching two classes: One on "telling a story with PowerPoint" and "The Tube" a 101 class for using visio to communicate a project time line.
As a relatively new first-time homeowner, I'm learning a lot about home repairs and have lately become fascinated with gardening (aka wilty flowers and radishes). I have a 5 lb dog named Cuba. She's got a little bit of a Napoleon complex. I'm a northern Californian native with a growing love for the pacific northwest.

She came prepared with a great sample deck, the class was very well organized by - amazingly - a PowerPoint. My PowerPoints are already much better.

Review of Natala, September 23, 2009
I took a class with Natala and let me tell you she is useless as a teacher. She is so disorganized and tends to ramble on about stuff that is not relevant and she is constantly checking her email/twitter/facebook accounts on her phone. She is so rude. I think she is very sketchy as a person. Note: After I wrote this Natala had the nerve to email me and say that she does not know me and never met me and that I never took her class, which is an outright fib. I took her class and she probably doesn't remember anyone from any classes because she spends so much time on her phone and also rants on and on about incoherent stuff and about herself. And then to top it off she writes "you've got a lot of angst and that's no fun." I'll tell you what has a lot of angst and is no fun is this class and especially this instructor. Take my advice and skip this instructor as she is not worth listening to and she seems quite sketchy in my opinion. Actually I personally think she is very sketchy.

I wish that I could help resolve this matter -- as it distresses me to have an upset student -- however, I don't recall teaching you (i've only taught this class 4 times as it is private instruction) and it seems like you are more intent on being upset with me than providing a constructive truthful review.
If you can provide me with your full name, e-mail address and information as to which class you took, when and where, and the cost, I will be happy to provide you with a refund. I apologize for anything I may have done to upset you.
Future students: please note that the review above is inconsistent with my teaching methodology. My sessions are 1:1. The class is structured in two parts. The first 30 minutes are an overview of powerpoint with specific attention paid to using smart art and using templates. The remaining 60 minutes is spent working on a powerpoint presentation for you. At the end of the session you should have a better understanding of how to use powerpoint and also have a completed story-filled presentation.
Also, please note that during my sessions I ask that students turn off their cell phones (I also turn off mine) so that we can be focused on completing the session in the 90 minute period.
