Natasha Belly Dancer's Profile

Natasha began her obsession with belly dance at age 15 after watching a close friend perform with Rebekah, the woman who would soon become her instructor. A year later, after graduating from high school, Natasha began taking lessons and performing almost at the same time. Since that time, Natasha has never stopped dancing. She has performed regularly in restaurants and nightclubs over the past 11 years, including 4 years in Chicago dancing at top venues like Ala Turka, Souk, Kan Zaman, D'Vine and The Greek Islands. Natasha has also cultivated a reputation as a phenomenal performer for private functions as well, and has enjoyed a steady career dancing at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and numerous corporate events.

As an instructor, Natasha is supportive and fun, reminding her students to enjoy themselves above all, and that for your audience to enjoy what you are doing, YOU must be enjoying it as well. An American Cabaret dancer at heart, Natasha also weaves elements of Turkish, Gypsy, and even a bit of Egyptian cabaret into her ecclectic style. Refusing to be categorized or stereotyped, Natasha dances what she feels, and tries to learn something from every dancer that she works with. Performers like Lesa, Alexandria, and Sabah, now of the Belly Dance Superstars, have all contributed to the dancer that Natasha is today, and she loves all of her dancer friends immensely.

Today, Natasha resides and performs in the Portland metro area with her husband Eric and son Max. She is enjoying being a mother and excited to see what this new chapter in her life will bring.
