Nicholas Boland is currently a candidate for the Masters of Music in Composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He received his Bachelor of Music in oboe performance at the University of Southern Maine and has attended the Summer in Sombor and the Brevard Music Center summer institutes. His works have been premiered by the Southern Maine Symphony, the Portland Youth Orchestra, the Season String Quartet of Serbia, and Brevard Music Center Orchestra and chamber ensembles.
As an oboist he has performed with such groups as the Portland Symphony Orchestra, the Maine State Ballet Orchestra, and the Mimosa Wind Quintet.
