Pamela, born and raised in South Africa, began her training in ballet at a young age. With a desire to spread her wings, she set off to England where she graduated from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 1999. Her career kept her moving, she worked as a performer, teacher and choreographer in South Africa, England, Taiwan and finally settled in California. She has performed locally with Toezeye Dance Company, Fusion Dance Company, The Company of Strangers, Collage Dance Theatre and was a principle dancer for the Regina Klenjoski Dance Company for 6 yrs. She was nominated both in 2006 and '07 for a 'Lester Horton Award' for Outstanding Female Performance. In 2008 she won the 'Excellence in Arts Award' from the City of Torrance Cultural Arts Commision for her work with RKDC, which also includes teaching Modern dance technique classes and Pilates mat classes to hundreds of students each year. She directed the X-Factor Dance Project, RKDC's youth performance group, and mentored many young aspiring dancers. Over the 2007/08 school year, she was assistant director and choreographer for the Beverly Hills High School Dance Company. To compliment her dance training Pamela became a devotee to Pilates as a teen! She holds a Comprehensive Certification to teach all levels, healthy and injured clients, on all apparatus through Power Pilates. Pamela practices and teaches Classical Pilates, Joseph Pilates’ original exercises with his intentions. She has over 10 years of teaching experience and loves sharing her passion for dance and movement.
