As an artist, I am passionate about creating pieces that are modern, wearable and distinctive, combining traditional and innovative methods, with bold shapes, textures and color. Incorporating stones and pearls with silver, gold and reactive metals niobium and titanium create my ever-evolving design direction, with inspiration from architectural and geometric shapes to rustic and organic. Each design is a result of the relationship of materials, resulting in a unique design for the individual desiring their personal style to be reflected in their accessories. My fascination with patterns and textures quickly translated to fabricated jewelry and metalwork. The introduction to the reactive metals niobium and titanium allowed vibrant color to be integrated into the mix and the ideas exploded. Originally a high school teacher of fine arts and crafts, I continue to instruct and inspire students in precious and non precious metals in Manhattan. My work has been exhibited in juried exhibits, and is on display in various galleries in the US. Born in Ohio, I am presently residing and creating in New York City.
