I want to help others create a bonding relationship with their dogs while learning tricks, behaviors and exercises that truly benefit the dog and the handler. A strong behaved dog is much nicer to be around.
Fostering dogs for Oregon Friends of Sheltered Animals gave me experience dealing with may types of dogs and behavioral problems. We worked on house manners, leash walking, aggression, and many other issues to get them ready for adoption. My three boys are all from rescue and have come with their own set of issues to overcome.
My three dogs and I have been training in agility for five years. During that time, I have helped teach many foundation agility classes for Columbia Agility Team as well as gained the experience required to title a dog in agility. In addition, training rescue dogs with reactive issues and my own reactive dogs has given me the knowledge to help others with similar issues.
Having touched the lives of many sheltered animals as well as my own rescue dogs, it is truly an honor to help a troubled dog/handler find their way to a better life.
