* Bachelor of Music Degree in Professional Music (Berklee College)
* Master of Fine Arts Degree in Jazz Studies (Cal-Arts)
* 26 years of private teaching experience.
* 13 years of college level teaching experience
* 10 years of college level trumpet teaching experience
* private study with 18 trumpet teachers in both the jazz and orchestral traditions
* commitment to continuing education
* currently enrolled in the Teacher Training Course at the Northern California Center for the Alexander Technique
* the only non-CBDA Nor-Cal Honor Band trumpet audition placement judge present on the selection committee for over 5 years
* assisted in selecting the solo music on the current trumpet rotation list for the Nor-Cal Honor Band
* taught virtually every 1st (and 2nd) trumpet player in every youth symphony, high school and college in the North Bay Area over the last 13 years
* has been a trumpet, brass, and jazz clinician for 20 years
* has been playing trumpet for 34 years
* has 26 years of professional performing experience in a variety of settings which includes both the jazz and classical idioms
* has 4 album credits as a sideman in both the jazz and classial idioms
