Phil Kennelty

Phil was born and raised on the outskirts of The City: New York City!! He has played coffee houses and bars throughout the metropolitan area both as a solo act and as a member of numberous Rock, Country and Americana bands. His songs and his interpretations of other artists material are constantly evolving as he changes rhythms and mood, incorporating African, Carribean, Reggae, Delta and Peidmont Blues, Cajun and Zydeco, Native American, Immigrated American and European folk Styles and pure 50's Rock'n'Roll. Phil's Phriends are a collection of Long Island musicians who share his eclectic and diverse tastes and his insistance of making the music phun!!! Among the Bands in which Phil has been a member are: Greg Wilson and Straight Shooter;The Mighty Oaks;Night Train Express;Killer Joe and the Lido Soul Revue; The Wranglers;Tommy Blue and North Country Road; The Po' Cats; and Newgrange Stone.
