  • "Very Useful tool"

Review of Workshop: Beginning Color Theory for Oil Painting , August 10, 2009

Thanks for designing the tool, that gives us a good tutorial on mixing colors, painting, and beautifying our paintings. They are much needed.

  • "Excellent Teacher"

Review of Fused Glass Jewelry, July 28, 2008

I have taken classes from Robin before, and she knows her stuff. I love the glass pieces I have made! Take the class, you too will be so happy with the results.

  • "i can make cool stuff for my garden!"

Review of Introduction to Blacksmithing, April 21, 2008

so this class rocks! in a short 6 weeks, i was able to create steel sculptures for my garden. i never realized how easy it could be to heat, cut and mold metal to my liking. suddenly metal flowers, trees and ornaments were hanging all over my garden.. night stand? no problem..arch for my garden walk..even easier.

the facilities are excellent with all the equipment and material you'd need to get started.

  • "hot class!"

Review of Introduction to Glassblowing, April 21, 2008

no really. its been awhile since i took this class, but i fell in love with hot glass.

my instructor, jeanne ferraro while strict was very good at her work and very good at teaching us basics, safety and moving on to more advanced works.

i left the class with my share of coffee cups and vases : )

their facilities are excellent! i highly recommend this class and pratt!

  • "art class for junkers!"

Review of Assembling The Modern Wonder-Cabinet, April 21, 2008

this class is perfect for those pack rat types! i'd been interested in this medium for awhile just based on the 3 dimensional collage-y nature of the work. what i didn't think about was that this medium requires lots of cool stuff to put in your boxes!

i was joined in my class with about 7 other women, who came burdened with boxes and boxes of STUFF. really cool stuff. i didn't have much really cool stuff but i still loved the class. i left after the first day and ran to goodwill so i could find more stuff for my boxes.

that said, the class was a perfect format for what we needed to learn that weekend. with only a little bit of lecture and mostly hands-on, the teacher provided lots of supplies to help us get started right in hour 3 of the weekend.

the only thing i might change would be to stretch this over 2 weekends, so i have a week to gather more stuff!!
