  I've been a big fan of Redfin for years -- when we bought our second house in Seattle, we made extensive use of their website and research/pricing information to help us find the home we think we'll be in for the long-term.

  Attending their free home-buying workshop is a great way to get a feel for the local real estate marketplace, and also to get comfortable with the newest online tools to help you find the perfect home for you.
