Renee Adams

I grew up in Yakima Washington dancing and teaching. After I graduated high school with an AA degree, I moved to Seattle where I began my first professional dancing gig with Spectrum Dance Theater, under the direction of Donald Byrd. While in Seattle, I developed a deeper understanding of teaching and classroom management. After moving to Portland I found the perfect job, dancing for school shows with BodyVox's E-Team. Through this I was able to see the importance, and need, for programs that integrate movement and core-curriculum in order to promote life-long learning. Three years later, I am dancing with the main company and in school shows, and head of the Education Department at BodyVox, busy building arts-integrated dance to share with our community here at the studio and out in schools!
