Ruth Armitage Studios' Reviews

I just spent three great days in Ruth's workshop where she had us experiment with 5 elements of design. By using one dominant element in each painting, we could see which technique we each preferred for our own painting. She never pushed us to paint like her (although we tried). Her goal was to achieve a sense of our own painting identity. She was great!

What I loved about Ruth Armitage's workshop in Bend, Oregon is that she gave us lots of information on how to find our inner artist. We did a series of paintings using the different aspects of elements of design and came out with some surprising results. This is not your typical "watch me paint, then you go paint like me" workshop. This class focused on how to improve our own style. Thanks Ruth!
