Scott Kritzer is one of those rare musicians who simultaneously combine and active touring and teaching career. Learning the classical guitar takes an understanding of technique, tone production, practice and performing skills as well as how to analyze, interpret and memorize music. All of these skills are taught in both private lesson and workshop formats. Scott Kritzer’s popular teaching method for classical guitar is taught to both local students through private and informal workshops as well as to students from all parts of the United States, China, England, Norway, Dubai, and Ireland through an innovative internet format. His biannual workshop, Classical Guitar Immersion, draws both local and international students. His past classical guitar students have gone on to attend such notable institutions as The Julliard School, the Royal Conservatory of Music in London and his alma mater, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
