Scott Elliott, Lyric Bass-Baritone, most recently performed with Harbor Opera as the buffo maestro Somarone in their production of Hector Berlioz’s Beatrice et Benedict. During the 2006-2007 opera season, he worked with the Connecticut Opera company as one of their Resident Artists. While there, he performed the roles of Morales and El Remendado in their main stage production of Carmen, as well as over two hundred performances of outreach programs, opera previews, and gala events. Scott has also worked with the Baltimore Opera, Chautauqua Opera, American Opera Theater, Bay Area Summer Opera Theater Institute, Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, the Bethesda Summer Music Festival, Canton Symphony, and the Peabody Opera Department. In addition to opera, Scott has sung numerous Choral and Oratorio works with many professional groups in the DC/Baltimore and New York Metro areas.
Scott is also an accomplished Trombonist who has performed with the Washington National Cathedral, Roanoke Opera, New River Valley Symphony, Wintergreen Summer Festival Orchestra, the Peabody Symphonies, Baltimore Brass, Charm City Brass, and the Blue Ribbon Brass, among other ensembles. He has received Master's degrees in Voice and Trombone from the Peabody Institute, and completed his Bachelor's degree in Music Performance at Virginia Tech University. Scott currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
Mr. Elliott’s upcoming operatic engagements include September performances of the role of the benevolent husband, Collatinus, in a production of Benjamin Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia with the Project Opera of Manhattan. In October, Scott will work with Harbor Opera as le Roi in their production of Massenet’s Cendrillion.
