  Review of Shaun Paul, December 22, 2008

  I knew that Shaun Paul was the teacher for my son when we interviewed him a little over a year ago. Tristan, at the end of the interview asked Shaun Paul if he would please play something for us. At the end of our personal concert my then 12 year old son clapped enthusiastically and with a smile on his face. I knew that we had found the perfect instructor. Shaun Paul recognizes when my son needs praise and encouragement, a little push and always challenges him to become a better player. Shaun has also took the time to produce Tristan's own CD of a song he had been working on. As a composer he has produced several beautiful CDs yet he knew how special this would be for my son. I hope that we will have many years with Shaun Paul.

  Review of Shaun Paul, December 17, 2008

  My 16 year old daughter has studied cello for over 6 years. The last 1-1/2 years has been with Shaun Paul. Shaun has without a doubt nurtured my daughter to bring her cello playing to a higher level. He has a calm yet devoted approach in his teaching. He is serious and knowledgeable, enforcing the development of proper technique. Just as often, he emphasizes the importance of finding her love in the music, developing artistry skills, musicality and her passion for her cello playing. He is conscientious of her challenges and honest with his critique of her playing, yet allows her to discover her own unique voice. A recent comment of my daughter's was, "my tone and abilities have improved more in the past 1-1/2 years than in any of my other years..."
  Shaun seems to have endless positive energy and his enthusiasm greets us with each lesson. His passion and love of music is obvious and much appreciated. He sincerely gets the highest recommendations from us.

  Review of Shaun Paul, December 15, 2008

  He was my first cello instructor and I have been with him for 2 + years. He has been able to instruct me for all the levels of playing that I have been through so far and I am still learning more to keep on growing as a cellist. He knows excellent techniques that assist the student in progression through each stage. He does not push students too fast and makes sure that they know and perform each "stage" before moving on to the next. He knows when to move a student on. I enjoy my lessons with him. He is also a very nice composer.
