Review of Shelly Stephenson, July 06, 2011
I started the 12 course KMI journey in November of 2010. I had been taking Pilates and Gyrokenisis for about 3 years so I had begun the process of getting to know my body better but I had some issues that were beginning to develop, stiffness, tendinitis etc. A friend recommended trying KMI as a way move to a deeper level of addressing some of the chronic pain I was experiencing.
It took me about 7 months to complete the work but I am so grateful that I tried KMI. My body moves differently, I feel more fluid and connected to myself. I am able to run again pain free. If you are looking for something that can help your body work more efficiently I definitely recommend KMI.

Review of Anatomy in Clay, February 22, 2010
Shelly is the best thing to happen to anatomy in clay since sliced bread. Her knowledge of how the body moves, humor, and passion for anatomy make learning about the muscular and skeletal systems of the human body contagious. Shelly provides a safe learning environment that encourages questions and supports the individual's educational goals. Spending time with Shelly makes you appreciate the unique properties of each person's individual anatomy and life story, and gives you a sense of awe regarding the physical makeup of your own body.

Excellent workshop. Absolutely essential for movement professionals.
Shellys' enthusiasm and expertise makes the hands-on learning experience fun and extremely valuable. I've taken three courses with her and look forward to the next one - what better way to spend a Friday night than with others who share our passion and desire for understanding how it all works in there.
Thanks again, Shelly- Pros:

Review of Shelly Stephenson, October 17, 2009
The Anatomy in Clay workshop was one of those weekend workshops that you didn't want to end! I recently attended this workshop taught by Shelly Stephenson at Bodies In Balance studio located in downtown Portland, Or. and it was both amazing & fun! Building the muscles of the body out of clay and attaching them to the Maniken was one fascinating discovery after another and I can't begin to tell you how much I got out of this workshop! I have attempted to study and learn anatomy before but after the first hour of our Anatomy in Clay class it was as if we opened up a new chapter on Anatomy that I had never seen before!
Thank You Shelly for creating such a warm, friendly, and non intimidating, atmosphere for us to all learn in during the Anatomy in Clay workshop and for being so willing to share all that you have learned on your journey! I love it.
