The old adage "Those than can, do. Those who can't teach" does NOT apply to Shirley. Her own work is magnificent if not inspiring. Shirley is patient and methodical in her teaching style with beginners. With more experienced bead makers, Shirley is very generous with her vast knowledge.
I would highly recommend Shirley for any level of torch bead work.

I have always been fascinated by glass beads, but had never touched hot glass before. With Shirley's excellent demos, handouts and her assistance with any issues in class, I had a great time and was able to make beads I liked the very first class.
Teacher's Response:
Thanks, Cindy. I loved having you in my classes - such a great sense of humor and you rock on the torch! I look forward to working with you again in future workshops. I'll be submitting my proposals to Chris this weekend - stay tuned!
