"Self Defense 101 for Women by Joanne Factor"

Joanne Factor gave us the facts and tools to better avoid situations necessitating self-defense, and to better take care of ourselves in situations when self-defense is required. The pace of the 4 evening classes was leisurely, with enough instruction to keep you on your toes, but enough time to ask questions and practice what we learned the previous class. Joanne's handouts were a good supplement to the classes. The class room, at the UW Police offices on Boat Street, was the only disappointing part of the class.
