The Sunset Youth Orchestra is dedicated to enriching children's lives through music.

Our orchestra is unique in many ways. We believe that no child should be turned away who desires to play an instrument. So, we do not recruit only the most talented performers through competitive auditions; instead, we encourage every child to study music, even if they are not very proficient on their particular instrument. We solve the problem of different levels among our musicians by providing customized parts whenever necessary.

The orchestra was founded in 1999 by Tatiana Ganenko, a graduate of St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music, a successful and inspirational violin teacher in San Francisco, as well as a frequent performer at concerts.
