I've been an educator in the public schools for the past 27 years. Currently, I substitute teach for the nearby school districts, often for music classes (general, strings, band). I also teach private violin/fiddle lessons (all levels). Because of my school teaching background, I often am contacted by the school age students for lessons, but I do teach adults. I play with local celtic groups and participate in other styles of music as well. I use a variety of tools and techniques in meeting the needs of my students and customize the lesson to their learning needs and goals. I am a member of professional organizations, MENC and ASTA, and often attend music educators workshops and professional workshops to update my teaching skills and to improve my performance.
