My name is Susan Slear, also known as SAM.

I am an RN, a Certified Childbirth Educator (CCE), Certified Happiest Baby Educator (CHBE) and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC, RLC). The IBCLC credential is widely recognized as “The Gold Standard" in breastfeeding expertise. I provide research-based information, support, recommendations & referrals.

In addition to 10 years experience teaching Childbirth, Breastfeeding, Infant Care and now, Happiest Baby On The Block, at the busiest (and best) maternity hospital in Philadelphia, I also maintain my own private practice called the BREASTFEEDING HELP CENTER.

It is my privilege to work with parents around the birth of their babies. My goal is to educate, support and empower women to achieve their individual childbirth, parenting and breastfeeding goals.
