While obtaining a degree in Theatre Arts, Suzanna discovered her passion for belly dance as she prepared for a lead role in a play, “Shivaree,” in which the character was a belly dancer. Building on her extensive dance background in jazz, West African, contemporary, and ballet, she has studied Middle Eastern dance locally and internationally over the past twelve years, training with Egypt's most renowned dance artists. Her dancing, poverty alleviation work, and relentless curiosity about the world has repeatedly called her to travel to countries such as Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, and Niger, as well as most of Western Europe.

She is an instructor of exceptional dedication and knowledge, empowering others to manifest the joy of this timeless art form through customized private coaching, workshops, and weekly conditioning classes. She is also a vibrant performer and producer with premiere venues and events throughout the Northwest as well as with arranged tours and private functions, frequently working with other high caliber musicians and performers, and organizations such as Bellevue Arts Museum, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Folklore Society, and Seattle World Percussion Society.
