Ted Gould

I am a bassist and music educator originally from New Orleans.I have a B.A in music from Cal State University, East Bay where I studied Double (Upright Bass) and played with many of the major ensembles there. In addition to playing with many local and national touring acts (including Jon B. and American Idol Finalist La Toya London) I play for the 6:13 band and Orchestra at Neighborhood Church in Castro Valley and teach music for various Bay Area Non Profit organizations.

I teach standard 4 string bass and extended range bass concepts in addition to Double Bass.

I believe that:

Everyone has their own idea of what it means to be a good bassist. The fact is that no two people are completely alike and no lesson plan should be. This is why every student is given a custom lesson plan based around his/her current skill set and goals. Don’t know whether you want to play just for fun or set your sites on a career?  It’s totally fine to just dive in!

My Objectives are:
