From our founding in 1965, The Jug Shop has been a San Francisco destination for a comprehensive selection of wine, beer, and distilled spirits. Family owned and operated, our philosophy combines dependable, personal service with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
While our vast, in-store wine selection covers all corners of the world, we are nationally and internationally recognized for our selection from Australia, New Zealand, and Italy. Managing buyer Chuck Hayward, the nation's leading expert in Down Under wine, and Italian wine specialist Floribeth Kennedy have transformed the shop from a dependable neighborhood liquor store into a national destination for the wines from these countries.
Spirits & beer specialist Eric Cripe has similarly carved out a niche for us with his passion and expertise. We now carry a large selection of hard-to-find or small-batch spirits, such as bourbon and whiskey, scotch, tequila, gin, absinthe, and liqueurs. We're proud to say our beer selection is much improved under his leadership, focusing on small craft-brew producers both domestic and imported.
