Cynthia L. Hirst - Licensed Musikgarten and Kindermusik Educator. Cynthia has had a love for music her entire life. Beginning piano lessons when she was five, Cynthia continued her musical studies through high school, playing French horn, alto saxophone and flute. She received her junior high school's Musicianship Award and played as a member of the British Columbia High School Honor Band. Singing in concert choirs and vocal jazz groups was also a part of her high school music experience, with one vocal jazz group winning the prestigious Kiwanis festival in Vancouver, B.C.
Cynthia is a certified educator in both British Columbia and Washington State, where she has worked in the public school systems. In B.C., Cynthia taught elementary school music classes, as well as regular elementary intermediate grade classes. She also was instrumental in developing school choirs, performing in both French and English, as well as producing and directing small stage operettas.
Cynthia has two boys with whom she experienced the Kindermusik program as a parent for four years before bringing her musical expertise to other families as a licensed Musikgarten and Kindermusik educator.
Amy Wosser - Music and children have been a very important and prominent part of her life for some time. In high school, Amy participated in many musical activities, with singing being the most important aspect to her at that time. Through her choir classes, she was able to compete and perform, and was even privileged enough to sing with hundreds of other students in New York’s famous Carnegie Hall- what an experience!! Amy spent a lot of time doing music, teaching classes and volunteering both at church and at the Newcastle YMCA. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with her students in all areas of music education, including singing, playing the piano or guitar. She feels the most important thing is to introduce children to music in a fun and light-hearted way and she looks forward to more opportunities to do so.
Amy is currently working at Young Child Academy in Seattle in the Preschool room, and is on sabbatical from The Musik Place.
