I've been working with Tim for about 3 months. Every week he pushes me to do something new, works to overcome the problems I am having, and has new exercises to get my fingers to do what they need to do when they just don't want to.

You might not be playing Battling Banjos (the Deliverance song) or much else in a month, but you will be learning to play correctly, not developing bad habits now that will hold you back later.

Tim is extremely patient, and understands that it takes a long time to get it right. He is always encouraging, even when I feel I am making no progress. I look forward to my lesson each week, and really do recommend Tim as an instructor.

I have been taking guitar lessons with Tim for over six months. Believe me, I am not one of those 'natural ability' people and my practice time has been a struggle. Tim has corrected bad habits that I've acquired learning on my own, is teaching me a solid foundation, and has passed on "tricks of the trade" to make playing easier that I could never have learned from a book. Lessons are very focused.

In the past, I tried lessons with a couple other instructors that local guitar shops recommended but now I see they clearly did not have Tim's skills. By the way, I found Tim from an Internet search while looking for a banjo instructor for my husband. We didn't really know much about him except what the ad said and he sounded knowledgeable on the phone. Well, we sure made the right move. You can trust that Tim is a true professional instructor.

Tim has the knowledge and experience that I was looking for as a beginning mandolin player. He has shown me the basics of the instrument and is responsive to any questions I have. Tim has encouraged me to continue practicing. His studio is comfortable and engaging.

I started taking guitar lessons two years ago at age 10. Tim has been friendly and helpful all the way. He helps me when I get stuck on a part in a song because he's patient. Before I started violin with Tim, I had a year of lessons with a different instructor. In comparing, Tim helps me advance in my instrument quicker and I really enjoy being able to play along with him during lessons. He's very talented and makes me want to be as good of a musician as he is. I have fun learning from him and look forward to my lessons.
