Tutors on Call is a Vancouver, BC owned and operated tutoring service. Since 2005 we have successfully satisfied the needs of our students in a comfortable, relaxed setting (your home). We are happy to provide high quality, BCCT certified tutors in Vancouver, Burnaby, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westminster, Surrey and other areas of the Lower Mainland of BC.

* Our Teachers: At Tutors on Call all of our teachers have completed the Teacher’s Training Program and are certified by the BC College of Teachers. They have both tutoring and classroom experience. Due to their qualifications, they know what is expected in the Canadian classroom and what the student needs to know in order to increase their marks. Some of our teachers have experience teaching overseas in countries such as China, Korea, Japan, France, Taiwan and Mexico. We have teachers on staff who can speak both English and French and thus are able to offer French lessons. We take our time in hiring only the best tutors who are friendly, enthusiastic, professional and experienced.

* Skill-based Programs: We recognize that each student has specific strengths and areas for improvement. Our skill-based programs focus on the areas that need the most improvement so that way the student will see results faster. By learning one skill at a time, such as writing essays or vocabulary, the student will be able to focus and master each skill more efficiently. Each skill builds upon one another enabling the student to be confident and apply previous knowledge to future assignments.

* Monthly Progress Reports: We understand that it is important for you to know how your child is doing in their studies. At Tutors on Call we track the student’s progress on a Monthly Progress Report which is given to you at the first class of each month. This report will tell you what the tutor has taught the student that month, how the student is doing in the lessons and all the marks for their assignments and tests during that month. By receiving the Monthly Progress Reports you will know exactly what needs to be done in order to help the student improve their marks and excel in their studies.

* Student’s Assessment: One of our Education Consultants will come to your home for a free consultation. At this time we will assess your child’s level by viewing their report card and their assessment test. Both of these documents will then be emailed to the tutor that you choose.
