Mary Simler Evans. Currently a co-owner at U&ME Dance along with my family. I have studying dance since I was 4 years old, and teaching for the past 14 years. I have a passion for social dancing. For the ability to dance on the floor with anyone and not only look and feel good yourself, but know that your partner will leave the dance glowing, and feeling like they too were superstars on the floor. I also love the connection you can feel with your partner while dancing which makes it a wonderful pastime for couples.
I have been training in social dance for 17 years, and put real effort to make sure my training continues regularly. At this point I teach over 20 styles for social dancing.
I have been training teachers almost as long as I have been teaching, and I find so much reward in helping people find how they can share their love of dance with others, and no just teach, bu teach well, teach with precision, and really care about results.
I am also rewarded daily with the experience of teaching kids to dance. Kids are so receptive to learning and showing their potential, and the joy I get in knowing I am teaching them something that will last their whole lives, that will improve their other sports, and help them in their social skills, makes them some of my better classes in the day.
I also teach dance for musical theater and choreograph for Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth (BAAY) in Bellingham WA.
