Richard (Rick) Yegge:
I moved to Colorado in 1987 and worked in the industry in various venues both private & public. Then I moved to the Gunnison Valley in 2006, for the position of the Gunnison Watershed Weed Commission’s, Weed Coordinator.
I have worked mostly in the plant industry since 1989 and since 1997; I acquired and held Colorado Pesticide License in both Turf and Ornamentals categories at the Qualified Supervisor level. As I started work for the county I acquired licenses in Industrial and Right Of Way, Rangeland and Agricultural categories.
I assumed the position of Gunnison County Weed Coordinator on April 19th, 2006 and commenced to learning the county and its weed management needs. I took on the challenges and the captivating views that came along in the daily spraying for Gunnison Weed Commission. Much of the work was very similar to past experience but there were so many facets that came to light and many challenges too.
