I love sharing it with women and students through classes, performances, and workshops. I stumbled into the fascinating world of Middle Eastern dance 30 years ago and was instantly captivated by the music and the joyous dances. I have been studying, teaching, and performing Middle Eastern dances ever since. Prior to relocating to Washington, I was a founding member of Jawaahir Dance Company (1989- 2007) and taught beginner through advance dance students at the Cassandra School. In my quest for authenticity and cultural aesthetics, I have traveled nationally and internationally to study with master teachers of various Arab dances including trips to Egypt, Lebanon, and Morocco.
