  Review of Belly Dance - Private Lessons, January 10, 2011

  I've never taken a private lesson from her, but there was just me and another person at class so it was just like have private lessons. What can I say, I wanted to learn finger cymbals...and now I can play them! She is very patient, elegant and if you're corious - as I am - she knows a lot about technique, costumes, rhythms... I had so much fun with her at lesson - that's the best part, learning while having fun! I'd like to be closer to still have lessons with her!

  Zulaika is a wonderful teacher as well as an accomplished artist who is not too concerned about how good you look outside, but how much you feel inside so that your movement is congruent and authentic to your feelings of the music. She carries a very joyous spirit and sweet feminine elegance in everything she teaches. I appreciate her paitence and detailed way of teaching. It is inspiring to learn from someone who loves what she does.

  Zulaika has something for everyone. If you are a beginner, she is great at breaking things down and introducing you to the joy of bellydancing. If you have experience, she has so much varied knowledge about so many aspects of the dance and the culture. She's fun and very personable. I'm especially enjoying the Zills and Drills class. It's a fun challenge both mentally and physically.

  Because of Zulaika's wide range of Middle-Eastern dance styles, you'll come away with the knowledge of dances other than just Egyptian cabaret. Zulaika explains specific moves for different dances in a way that everyone really "gets it." This class is excellent for both beginners and advanced dancers.

  Review of Belly Dance - Intermediate , August 29, 2008

  I've been taking belly dance lessons for over 6 years and I've never enjoyed it more than this year with ZULAIKA. She's a wonderful teacher and makes class a lot of fun. Every class is an exciting adventure--there is always something special. We are so lucky to have her here in the Seattle area as a teacher. See's the one to watch...
