While I have taught violin and viola throughout my adult life, I find myself increasingly drawn to the joys of teaching - of nurturing others as they grow into their muscicianship. My hope is that all my students will develop a love and appreciation of music and, of course, enjoy learning to create music in their own unique way. I schedule regular workshops for my students to play for one another and to develop their ensemble playing.
I am a full time musician - when I am not teaching, I am playing with one of the many ensembles in the greater Seattle area. I perform occasionally with the Seattle Symphony and Opera, the Auburn Symphony, and the 5th Ave. Theatre orchestra. For more information visit my website, seattlestringstudio.com

Review of Linda M Scott, January 13, 2009
I was leery of beginning the violin as an adult, but Linda was very encouraging and patient with me. She is great about letting me choose where and how I want to develop musically, and has even made special arrangements so my husband can play duets with me. Gee, who thought an old gal like myself could be learning the violin!

Review of Linda M Scott, January 13, 2009
My two grade school children started with Linda last year. I have been impressed by her dedication, kindness and positive teaching style. She has a great teaching manner and really has made it fun for my kids. She goes out of her way to create new teaching material specific for my daughter. Highly recommended!! Mary
